Cheat :
A million dollars (no lottery required).
1. Load a game or start a new one.
2. Go to the City Info Icon.
3. Access the Budget Icon (Dollar Sign).
4. In the Budget screen:
Press and hold R1. Press X, Circle, Triangle and Square then release R1.
Press and hold L1. Press X, Circle, Triangle and Square then release L1.
Press and hold R2. Press X, Circle, Triangle and Square then release R2.
Press and hold L2. Press X, Square, Traingle and Circle then release L2.
5. After entering this code, you should hear a cheer and you should be a million dollars richer.
Bond Embezzlement in 2D Mode:
In the Main Budget dialog, hold Triangle and press L1, L2, L1, L2, R2, R1, R2, R1. This cheat sets all subsequent bonds to 0% interest. However, there is a risk to using this as you could be fined up to $100,000.
City Map in 3D Mode:
To bring up a translucent city map HUD with position indicator, press R1, R2, R1, R2, R1, R2, R1, R2.
To close the HUD press L1, L2, L1, L2, L1, L2, L1, L2.
City Nights:
To cycle night and day in 3D mode press Down, Up, Down, Up, Down, L2, R2.
To turn it off press Down, Down, Up, Up, Down, Down, L2, R2.
Fade to Black:
To fade the screen to black press Down, Down, Down, Down, Down, Down, L2, R2.
To pause the fade press Left, Left, Left, Left, Left, Left, L2, R2.
To return the screen to normal press Right, Right, Right, Right, Right, Right, L2, R2.
Helicopter Cockpit in 3D Mode:
To display a helicopter cockpit in 3D mode, press R2, L2, R2, L2, R2, L2.
To turn off the cockpit display press R1, L1, R1, L1, R1, L1.
Maximum Dispatch in 2D Mode:
Use of any of the dispatch tools (Fire, Police, Military) will yield the maximum number allowable within SimCity regardless of the number of stations you have. To activate, use the normal arrow cursor to select and cancel the dispatch tool. Go to the status bar and press Left, Right, Left, Right, Cancel, Accept. Be sure your cursor stays in the status area while doing this.
Nugget Grab in 3D Mode:
Use this sequence to bring up a trail of golden nuggets on the road. Collect these nuggets as you move around the city and increase your city fund! To activate, do the Chopper cheat eight times (do this by turning it on then off, leaving it on the 8th time), then press L2, R1, L2, R1, L2, R1, L2, R1.
Fly Mode:
To enter flight mode in 3D mode, press Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, L2, R2, START, Start. To return to normal press Start again. This cheat allows you to fly around the city without being constrained to the roads as normal. The controls in this mode are:
R1 -- Altitude Up
R2 -- Altitude Down
L1 -- Propel Forward
L2 -- Propel Backward
Up -- Look Up
Down -- Look Down
Left -- Turn Left
Right -- Turn Right
